An extract made with 62% imported pilsner malt and 38% imported white wheat malt. This malt extract, based on the malt base of the wheat beers of Bavaria, is ideal for brewing authentic German wheat or Belgian wit styles. Preboiled 15 minutes before vacuum extraction, so you only need to do a 30 minute boil if you desire.
We recommend all malt extracts be stored in a cool place, and refrigerated if you plan to store them for more than 30 days.
Approximate SRM color value of 6 pounds of extract dissolved into 5 gallons of water before boiling: 6

Q: Many other brands of Bavarian liquid malt extract show wheat malt to be in the range of 60% and other malt ~40%. Is the formulation of this Weizenmalt 62% Pilsner/38% wheat, or is the description off? Using it no matter, just want to make sure my brewing notes are correct for future reference.
A: Yes, 62% pils and 38% wheat.

Works well in an orange braggot
Used this extract with orange blossom honey, orange peel, coriander, and tallerhau hops, and Belgian strong yeast to make a bomb braggot. 5/5 would recommend, especially to experienced brewers looking for small quantities of good quality extract
Great extract
Makes a nice beer. Wish I was able to buy as much as I need. Only 2 8lb bags were in stock with my 5 week order. Get more!
Summer Sipper
Haven’t brewed a lot of wheat beers, but wanted to knock out a sessionable summer ale and this fit nicely with some hops and yeast I had on hand. Good price and GREAT customer service from Williams Brewing. Cheers!
Great Base Malt
I brewed a Hefe with this malt using Zainasheff's Hefeweizen recipe in Brewing Classic Styles and it turned out great. My fermentation temp was a little high (~67 F), but I'm pleased with the final product. I didn't have any problems hitting my target FG.
Best Hefeweizen Yet
I'm a huge hefeweizen fan and have now tried brewing several different batches using extracts, partial, and all-grain methods. For my most recent batch I went very simple, I used this 8lbs of extract plus 1.75oz of German noble hops and WYEAST 3068 and it was hands down the best hefe I've made to date. So good, my wife and I kept this brew to ourselves! Definitely plan to use this extract again!
