Our German Pils is mashed from two row Moravian pilsner malt with a touch of Vienna malt added for a bit of body (without darkening the color. This very pale extract has a distinct maltiness not present in our American Light. Our lightest German extract, and an excellent choice for your light European style lagers and pilsners. Preboiled 15 minutes before vacuum extraction, so you only need to do a 30 minute boil if you desire.

A Great Substitute Malt Extract
I like to make a golden ale using the American Light extract but since it hasn't been available I substituted the German Pils extract due to its low SRM value. It works very well with my recipe!
Pleasant Surprise
I tried this malt as my favorites were out of stock. Turns out, it was a wonderful surprise. I like strong hops flavor so I hopped initial boil pretty heavy and dry hopped a week before bottling. This malt produced a wonderfully light, clean ale with nice hops flavor. It turn out to be a wonderful malt for hot weather consumption. I will be using this more often.
Brewed with ale yeast at 75 degrees F
I call this my EP Pilsner Ale and it is delicious. Easy to use these extracts and shorten brew day to only a couple hours and still get delicious beer.
