• New Preboiled Extract Means a Quick 30 Minute Boil
• New Choice of Optional Liquid or Dry Yeast
Our Farmhouse Ale is somewhat like a Saison, except it is made without wheat malt and with Wit yeast, so it has a crisper, cleaner finish. An effervescent beer, our Farmhouse Ale is formulated with pilsner malt in the extract (and a touch of beet sugar for lightness), and European hops for flavoring and finishing. Alcohol: 6%, IBU's 34
Includes 7 pounds of our blended malt extract and beet sugar, flavoring and aromatic hops, and carbonation sugar. Yeast not included, order separately above. Ease of Brewing: Beginner
Yeast recommendations:
1. Wyeast Y33 Belgian Wit for the smoothest flavor
2. Lalbrew Farmhouse Hybrid will ferment out a little higher, for a slightly sweeter beer

Q: is the malted grain wheat or barley or both?
A: The extract in this kit is made from malted barley only, no wheat.

Q: Curious to know the hop profiles used in this recipe. Thanks
A: 3/4 ounce Hallertau Mittlefrauh at the start of the boil, and 3/4 oz of the same right before the end of the 1 hour boil.

Yeast packet
After sitting on the shelf for 4 weeks or ao I found the box swollen as the yeast packet had swollen on its own. Then I found that I could not pop the interior yeast packet for fear of popping the large packet. I went ahead and brewed and added both yeast contents separately. This is otherwise one of my favorite brews.

Let down
I thought the flavor of this beer tasted very artificial. I think I will stick to more traditional beers.
Farmhouse Ale
Drinking this one right now. Just finished carbonating about 2 days ago, and I think it's great. Very smooth, effervescent and drinkable. I'd brew it again!
Farmhouse ale.
Have been making beer for a long time and this is the worst beer I have ever had. Don't know if it was something I did wrong or what but really had to force this beer down. Finally got rid of it.
