The SR540 is a time tested air roaster. Coffee roast capacity is 4.2 ounces, or 4 scoops with the included measuring cup. It has an intuitive control board - all adjustments are made with pushing the knob and turning to adjust the heat, fan, and time. Fresh Roast 540 also features a real-time temperature read out to monitor roast progress. A quick turn of the knob to the right will display current temperature.
There are 9 levels of heat adjustment and an adjustable fan which you can adjust based on the weight and moisture content of the beans. 12.5" tall, 8.5" deep.

It’s ok.
I had this for about a year or less and the electronic display started failing. It was also a little bit unreliable, they had me using something to check the volts in my outlets and everything. SR540 Coffee Roaster Voltage Requirements
I have used this coffee roaster for about 1 month now. It works as advertised as long as the supply voltage does not drop below 120 volts. Keep in mind residential voltage can fluctuate between 114 volts - 126 volts (+-5%) I was told by the manufacture "Anything below 115V will make it really hard for this machine to get up to temperature." I have had roasts take 20 mins at 119 volts instead of the 10 min roast at 120 volts. As a residential utility customer there is nothing you can do about your input voltage, just be aware this could be a problem with your roasting. The roaster really only works at a solid 120V supply, which is not a realistic expectation.
Fresh Roast SR540 Coffee Roaster
We have roasted about 5 pounds of coffee with this roaster since it arrived. It works very well and I have no complaints. I would recommend that you spend 15 minutes watching the YouTube Videos from Fresh Roast before you roast your first batch. The controls are not intuitively obvious and switching back and forth between seeing the control settings and watching the temperature can be challenging. It is easy once you understand the how and why of roasting with the SR540, and that is easier to understand by watching the video than it is by just reading the instructions. Frankly, I think the instructions that come with the roaster are scarier than necessary. You need to be aware of how fragile the unit is and handle it with care. I recommend blending your coffee. It typically smooths out harsh characteristics and adds more nuance and character. I certainly enjoy the coffee we roast at home.
SR 540 Roaster
I just finished my first roasting today. It took me a little while to get the knack of using it but I figured it out after the first couple roasting s. I really enjoy roasting with this machine! I have been roasting for years with a hot air popcorn popper. I really like the control I have now with this machine to get more consistent roasts! I highly recommend this machine!! Great buy for the money!
Amazing product...glass arrived cracked
This toaster is fantastic, and you guys had an amazing deal on it. The only issue I had was the roast chamber arrived with a crack. I just ordered a new one, but the coffee with the roaster was great.
