This is a little awkward, as we do not sell the KegLand RAPT Pill Hydrometer in the United States due to a patent issue. However, you can purchase the RAPT Pill from other souces (do a Google search) and we know many of you already are using the innovative PILL.
If you have a RAPT Pill, this eliminates the need to take your RAPT Pill housing apart to find the USB port for charging. This eliminates breaking the watertight seal each time you want to charge.
Just center the copper charging coil on top of the PILL on the charging pad for 24 hours or until it is fully charged (red light turns off). Then lift the Pill on and off the charging pad and it will activate the captive portal (green light will start to flash) - note that you will need to connect to the Pill's WIFI in order to access the Captive Portal. Prevent potential leaks by never opening your PILL again.
Please
note, if your unit has extremely low battery and you put it on the
wireless charging dock, it will not immediately go into the captive
portal mode (green light flashing). In this case, you will need to
leave
it there for a while
until the Pill battery is sufficiently charged.

Q: Do you Carrie just the charge coil. I have multiple pills and would like to use one charging plate
A: The part we do have is R32, Wireless Charging Kit. https://www.williamsbrewing.com/Home-Brewing-Equipment/Testing-Equipment/Hydrometers-Refractometers/RAPT-PILL-Wireless-Charging-Dock You can also check the Kegland site for their "Barebones" charging it, however, we do not offer this one. https://www.kegland.com.au/products/barebones-wireless-charging-kit-for-rapt-pill-hydrometer-coil-and-weights-only?_pos=1&_sid=2e3468681&_ss=r

Q: You are carrying the charger, but are you also going to carry the pill itself?
A: Not at this time, see the product description

Lika a glove
Had to discard the instructions and kegland video. I did watch another video that basically said to get it in the pill then slide the inner works down on it with the stickers removed and then take out and make sure it stuck. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE COPPER RINGS FACING THE RIGHT WAY, it will not take too many tries to weaken the tiny copper wires and snap them. The USB-C cable could be a mm or two longer but it fit tightly. Then Good news is you never have to open this again. Did a two point calibration charged 100% and Bob's your uncle it works great. This actually makes it easier to play with all the settings sine you don't need to open it to get it to connect. It's worth it. Makes me want another Rapt Pill.
Seek elsewhere for install instructions
Overall the install went smoothly and it worked like a charm. You do have to be very careful with the recharge ring you are installing as it’s a bit fragile. Also, ignore the instructions that come with and don’t bother with keglands install YouTube video. They are wrong and they haven’t bothered updating it. You have to replace the two magnets with updated smaller ones. The instructions mention only one magnet so if you follow exactly what they say, it’ll never work. There’s a YouTuber in Australia that does a great video on the install so please look for that. I love the fact I don’t have to open it to access the diagnostics anymore!
tricky installation made worse by fragility
The install instructions are got particularly detailed and fail to mention how delicate the unprotected tiny copper wires are that connect the charging coil. I'm not looking forward to trying and solder them back together
