• New Preboiled Extract Means a Quick 30 Minute Boil
• New Choice of Optional Liquid or Dry Yeast
A truly great, full-flavored beer has the ability to make you pause and reflect. Open the bottle, fill the glass, sit in a comfortable chair, and the complexities and worries of life sort themselves in priority as the alcohol loosens the log jam in your cluttered mind. With this effect in mind, we have developed our Fireside Ale™.
Our Fireside Ale is a strong English-style ale, balanced and malty. Not at all like highly hopped microbrews, this one has a rich amber maltiness balanced by selected English hops. A well-rounded, full-bodied brew. Alcohol: 6.2%, IBU’s 35
In formulating the extract for this kit, a large proportion of light crystal malt was used in addition to the pale ale malt extract, for a rich partially caramelized maltiness. Includes 11 pounds of our blended malt extract, flavoring and aromatic hops, and corn sugar for carbonation. Needed yeast not included, order separately above. Makes 5 gallons with a starting gravity of at least 1.068.
Yeast recommendations:
1. 1099 Wyeast Whitbread Ale Liquid yeast for the smoothest flavor
2. Apex San Diego Dry Yeast is easier to use, and makes a beer with a flavor almost as smooth as Whitbread.

Q: Hi, would you tell me which specific hops are in the Fireside kit please?
A: 2 oz. English Fuggles, 1 oz. English East Kent Golding

Easy day
Wanted a break from longer all grain brew day. Everything went smooth and was cleaning up when I’m usually still in the mash. Have to wait Its turn on tap to see how we did. Hit the numbers
Great Service!
My ale is still brewing, but I just wanted to remark about the great service I always get from William's. My yeast refused to activate, likely because it was shipped during a heat wave. I called and was sent a replacement right away. Have been doing business with them for a long time and will continue to for a long time to come.
Fireside Ale
I have brewed this Ale twice with GREAT results. Will brew it again.
Fireside Ale
Packaging, my yeast packet was activated when I received it. The company sent me a new one within two days, great job. Beer was easy to brew and it's fabulous.
Easy Brewing
Easy brewing is the only way to go. Take the time to ferment as required and then enjoy the fruits of your little labor. Just bottled Fireside last Saturday and now waiting patiently for aging and carbonation. Yum!!!
