This stainless bulkhead requires a 7/8" (22mm) hole in your pot, and features a flat silicone washer for the inside of your pot to prevent leaks. Adds a 1/2" male NPT outlet to a pot. The side facing the interior of the pot is smooth and not threaded.
For the ultimate in sealing, we also recommend you use teflon tap (not included) on both the interior threads and the exterior threads. Withstands temperatures of up to 240 degrees F.

Q: Do you think this item would work on a 3/16" walled vessel? How long is the threaded section of the inside piece? Thanks.
A: The threads are 9/16" It would be a close fit, perhaps item B50, the variable length bulkhead would allow for more breathing room.

Q: Does this have a 1/2" FPT thread on the outside fitting?
A: It has no female threads, the threads are male

Cooler conversion
The bulk head fitting is advertised as suitable for a cooler conversion. It is unacceptable for this purpose. The nipple is not long enough for a 10 gallon Igloo cooler. With the gaskets and washer in place, there is not enough room for the nut to catch the threads. This would work well for a kettle, not a cooler.
