Rice hulls are used to increase drainage in the mash. Use 8 ounces per 10 to 20 pounds of malt in the mash, stirring in thoroughly. Adding rice hulls allows for a finer grain crush, which can increase extract. Also good for a mash containing a large percentage (60% or more) of wheat malt.

This may sound crazy...
I bought these rice hulls to add to my morning coffee. In order to get better mileage out of coffee (as it keeps getting more expensive), I grind it like cappuccino but use a Mellita pour-over funnel -- it keeps the filter from clogging (to a degree)
Corn mash
Used 12 ounces of rice hulls in a 15 pound flaked corn, barley malt, wheat malt, bourbon mash and runoff ran smoothly with no problems.
Great Product - Great Price
No complaints. Even with shipping this was cheaper than I could get it locally. Excellent product. No complaints
