If you use a pot still to make spirits like bourbon, whiskey, scotch, or rum, this pure copper dome provides a large copper surface area which acts as a catalyst with the distillate vapor to remove unwanted sulphur compounds as well as helping enhance and concentrate the flavors and aroma. The result is a smoother, richer finished spirit.
This pure copper dome includes a 47mm (1.85") diameter hole and must be used with a condenser (Still Spirits Copper Condenser, KegLand Pot Still Condenser) to complete your home distilling rig. The copper is 1mm (.04") thick.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Although named Universal, this dome only fits the Mash & Boil (with lid clips), Grainfather 35 Liter, 25 Liter Still Spirits T500 Boiler, and Anvil Foundry 6.5 and 10.5. Includes a silicone sealing washer for a positive seal to the lip of the boiler.

Q: Will this fit the anvil foundry 10.5 gallon. What are the dimensions of the lid? I have heard mixed reviews of if it fits.
A: Yes, this fits the Anvil Foundry. The outer dimension of the dome is 12.75"

Q: Any suggestions on how to keep the gasket in place? Every time I try to place it on the gasket falls out. I’ve even tried to use food grade silicone to see if I can get it to stick. No luck
A: We have cleaned both surfaces well, and then used a glue stick. After using the stick, clamp the dome on your kettle for a while to get the glue to set.

Q: How do I clean this dome? After a couple of batches the inside is black. I have had little success getting it back to bare copper.
A: The easy way to clean your copper dome is to soak it in a solution of Star San (item A44) until it becomes shiny again. I would only soak it overnight, then rinse it well. There is no scrubbing needed.

Heavy thick copper
I was pleased to find that this dome has much thicker copper than the Still Spirits Artisan Series alembic dome. Completely interchangeable. Lower price. Fits just about every 35L electric boiler.
