Q: Will putting it in the freezer kill it?
A: Not a good idea, best to store refrigerated between 36 and 42 degrees F. Freezing will shorten its life and reduce its viability.

Q: how do i read the date on the bag ?
A: Lot # 26131/1-34022 was manufactured on 12/8/22 and expires on 12/7/25 They are working on a more readable lot code for future packaging runs, as there is no easy way to tell from the current lot number what the expiration date is!

A: We do not use a nutrient when we use this yeast, and a grain mash should have plenty of nutrients.
