•The most affordable all-in-one electric all-grain brewing system

• Mash grains and boil wort in a single vessel

• DigiBoil electric kettle automatically maintains mash temperatures with the digital controller

• Dual heating elements combine for 2400W of power

The DigiMash system represents the best value in electric all-grain brewing you'll find. With a 35L DigiBoil electric kettle and the DigiMash stainless steel mashing accessory pack included, this is the most affordable way to get into electric all-grain brewing.  It may not have all the bells and whistles of the BrewZilla, or the high flow all in one grain basket of the Mash & Boil, but it has everything you need to mash and boil all in one unit. Setting up and using the DigiMash is easy. Place the false bottom inside the kettle and install the malt pipe, fill with water and heat to your desired strike temperature, then add your grain and set your desired mash temperature on the digital controller. Once your mash is complete, lift up the malt pipe, drain the wort and sparge, then remove the malt pipe and proceed to boil.

If you're deciding between the DigiMash and the Mash & Boil, there are a couple of differences. One of the features of the Mash & Boil is the high flow elevated grain basket that lets you see the gallon markers while you sparge, eliminating sparge water calculations. Another Mash & Boil feature is the delayed start timer, which allows you to set the unit to warm up while you are away, making mashing quicker when you get home. The other major difference between the two systems is that the Mash & Boil has a low density heating element which reduces the chance of scorching, and offers a  more expensive version with a recirculation pump. The Mash & Boil also has a smaller boiling capacity, it holds 7 gallons while the Digiboil holds 9 gallons (although you cannot boil 9 gallons as it will foam over). The Mash & Boil is also not available in a 220 volt version, so it takes longer (50 minutes) to heat up than the 220 volt Digimash (25 minutes).

This model comes with the 35L DigiBoil, which has two built-in heating elements that run off a NEMA 6-30 220 volt plug. One element is 1900w and the other is 500w for a combined 2400 watts. The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage both elements to quickly go from mash temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s).
