Unlike standard plastic jockey boxes, this model from KegLand comes with a premium grade rotomolded cooler. Rotomolding is a process that produces an extremely durable and efficient cooler with consistent uniform wall thickness, with extra material around the edges for durability and shock absorption. Combine this with high density polyurethane foam insulation, and you have a jockey box that can keep ice for up to 6 days.
The cold plate with this unit is a high
thermal conductivity aluminum casting. Often other jockey box/cold
plate systems are made with stainless coils. The cast aluminum cold
plate has a large thermal mass that acts like a big heat sink and
aids the transfer of heat more effectively. The other benefit of the
cast aluminum cold plates is that they are compact and give you more
free space so you can stack other drinks above the cold plate. The
disadvantage is that cold plates are best for low volume situations,
so if you are having a big event like a wedding you will probably do
better with a stainless steel coil jockey box like our item S11 FourTap Stainless Jockey Box.
The two included Nukatap Flow Control Faucets feature handles and shanks. All connectors are easy to connect Duotight and enough oxygen barrier EVAbarrier tubing is included to connect both beer lines and gas lines. Keg connectors are not included, see below.*
*If you are serving from two home brew kegs you will also need two G50 Duotight Ball Lock Connectors (not included); if are serving from two commercial Sanke kegs you will also need two item C34 KegLand Type D Duotight Sanke Couplers (not included). You provide the gas in lines for your kegs which are outside of the jockey box.
With a built in bottle opener, two drink holders and even a 16” ruler on top for fishing fans, this is the best pack out jockey box available.

Heavy duty
I was impressed by the heavy molded construction of this box, and it stays cold for days. A good purchase considering the bigger investment!
