Q: Could this be used for batching cocktails such as old fashioneds?
A: The Oxebar will hold and dispense any liquid. As far as things like fruit slices, they may clog the faucet. Best to dispense the cocktail and then add fruit.

Q: It looks like the 2nd bottle is useless without the purchase of a second $20 L47. Otherwise is any home brewer going to have a way to get the 1 7/8" OD opening connected to hose? (Just received my set)
A: The starter set is intended to have one Oxebar dispensing at once. Once the one is empty, the second one is tapped and the tapping head moved to the second keg. Yes, a second L47 would enable you to dispense both kegs at the same time.

Q: Would this system work for aging cider or wine? I'm looking at aging ~12 months. Would the oxygen barrier hold for that long?
A: We are comfortable with 6-9 months, a year is pushing it a bit.

Q: What is total height with Tapping Head attached to bottle?
A: 21" tall with tapping head attached.

Nice setup with one major flaw
I like being able to split batches between a small keg and bottles. This works perfect for that. However, there is a major flaw in that after 2-3 uses the PRV starts to leak. I lost a tank of CO2 because of that. As a result I replaced the PRV with a metal one and everything works great.
Works well--except pressure relief pin relief
I purchased two starter sets and two "heads" to give me four functional "kegs." All four had a small leak in the pressure relief valve. I purchased replaced PRV pins from amazon and now the world is happy.
Game changer
It's a game changer for kegging. These things are so cheap to buy, super light and durable. Gone are the days of spending on an expensive heavy stainless steel keg. 6 of them fits under the series X kegerator with enough wiggle room to play around with. I can't seem to buy enough of these.
Worked well for my use
I kegged some beer and added sugar to naturally carbonate, then took this to a weekend getaway. Worked well with my Dual Stage Regulator, and I used a simple cheap keg faucet made from a 6.5mm Duotight Ball lock and a Duotight Picnic tap head.
Oxeblah
I had low expectations to begin with, but I like to have different packaging options on hand. This happened to be a weekend trip and the keg fit nicely in a cooler with ice, along with the CO2 tank. Part of the problem may have been the awkward ball lock faucet that I was using. Adjusting the faucet constantly to get a decent pour led to the connection unscrewing just enough to let the gas escape overnight. After a few adjustments, the dip tube must have slid off enough to no longer dispense the beer, leaving me with a gallon of beer that I eventually just poured out of the damn thing. Meh, back to the trusty stainless. These are sold cheaper elsewhere, by the way.
