Q: What are the ambient temperature constraints? Does it need to operate in a climate-controlled environment, or could it handle an uninsulated garage that might fall to freezing in winter and rise to 110F in summer?

A: It can easily handle freezing temperatures, and despite our illustration of having it in a garage, 110 F is a bit too much for any home refrigerator if you plan on keeping the interior near freezing. It can take short bursts of say 90 to 100 F, although we not recommend 110 F.
This all depends on how you set it - if you set it for 68 degrees F, it will not have much of a problem at 100-110 F, but if you set it at 34 degrees F, this will be much harder on the unit if the ambient temperature is 110 F.
