Q: AG Golden Ale kit: "Makes 5 gallons with a starting gravity of 1.080". So after overnight mash and batch spargng, I ended up with 4.5 gallons and a starting gravity of 1.076. Should I try to correct anything now or just proceed apace?

A: Just proceed, mashing yields vary depending on temperature and other factors. It sounds like it will be a good beer.

Q: My Golden Ale Kit cam with 2 hop containers. KCH150 at 60 minutes. the other KCH050 is not mentioned. Do I use it? Thanx Mike

A: Only 1 KCH150 (1.5 oz Hallertau) hop pack should of been included. We did not intend to have an aromatic hop in this recipe, as the aroma comes from the malt and the yeast. Sorry about this!

Q: What type of dry yeast do you recommend (I live in Fla)? Also, what do you recommend for mash temp( didn't notice it in instructions).

A: Our item Z70 Mangrove Jack Belgian Abbey would be a good choice. Mash at 152- 155 degrees F for one hour.
