Q: What does this do and how does it get installed. Not much information or pictures of item in use.

A: This is usually used on a bucket style fermenter to keep beer (and yeast sediment) out of the Transfer Valve during fermentation with an elbow bend. On our Siphonless fermenter it screws on the inside on the back of our valve but can fit on any valve with 3/4” tapered male pipe threads.
