Great for a novice

Review by Gussie on 2/19/2010

Pros: Easy to get right tastes great nice buzz!

Cons: Super potent - that's not always bad

not really a beginner's home brew?

Review by Greg Y. on 2/17/2010

Pros: *Kit has outstanding ingredients, my brew buddies & I are very impressed by high quality hops & yeast compared to neighborhood brew store. * Directions easy to understand which is important for me because this is just my 2nd brew, and my first go was a simpler brown ale. *) Kit arrived my NC Tobacco Road shack quick-quick, & I'm fired up to brew this weekend. I'll post again & let you know how it turns out.

Cons: *) catalog says ease of brewing is beginner, but I think it should be intermediate - takes a secondary, and temperature control seems like it will be more critical than I expected.

Nice triple

Review by Richard L. on 2/9/2010

Pros: Nice beer for a home made triple.Malty and full bodied. True to style.I did start with 3 qts. more water to get close to 5 gal. start. .Great alone or with dessert.

Cons: None with the beer.Mine did take 3 weeks for good carbonation..Tough to wait.

Excellent beer

Review by Larry L. on 2/8/2010

Pros: Getting better with age. Very pleasant beer to drink. Be careful - this beer creeps up on you.

Cons: I will add some Saaz hops to this recipe when I brew it next time. Would like to achieve the essence of New Belgium Tripple. I am IPA guy - so the bias.

Pretty good triple

Review by jessejw on 2/6/2010

Pros: nice color malty goodness I had it in the primary fermentation carboy for 7 days, then in the secondary for 4 weeks. Good carbonation.

Cons: a few off flavors to it... not sure if I did something wrong during the process or if that's just how it is.
