ID is not 1/2"

Review by JC on 5/10/2020

As other reviewers noted, the ID of this hose is slightly larger than 1/2" and doesn't fit as snugly as other tubing. I like the quality of this tubing to the standard opaque tubing otherwise.

ID larger than your 1/2 in Vinyl

Review by John Devillier on 4/9/2020

I purchased 1/2 inch vinyl tubing and 1/2 inch Silicone tubing from Williams. The 1/2 inch vinyl tubing fits my half inch hose barb snugly - no leaks. Unfortunately, the 1/2 inch silicone tubing is loose, and leaks. I agree with reviewer Bryan. Try comparing the 2 tubings by attaching each of them to the same 1/2 inch hose barb. I expect that you will see the difference.

Excellent Quality Tubing

Review by Clyde Knight on 4/5/2018

Purchased both 3/8" and 1/2" tubing for my all grain system. The quality of the tubing is excellent and it is easy to work with. I had quick disconnects to my tubing for easier setup and cleaning. I highly recommend this tubing.

Why use anything else?

Review by PJ Brewer on 10/30/2016

This stuff is beautiful! I can't believe I ever fooled around with vinyl tubing...or for that matter thermoplastic tubing. This tubing is extremely flexible as well as heat resistant. It easily connects to hose barbs. I will NEVER use anything else! This stuff is the BEST!

Not Quite The Same

Review by Bryan on 6/3/2016

The ID is slightly larger than 1/2" resulting in a very loose fit on my 1/2" hose barbs. I'll stick with my platinum cured silicone tubing from my other source since the price is the same and the quality is far better. William's Brewing Responds: We have measured our tubing with a caliper and it is exactly 1/2" in interior diameter. It is also platinum cured. Can you measure your hose barb? Thanks!
