Wow!!

Review by Mike C. on 9/24/2009

Pros: Very simple too make and packs quite a powerful bitterness punch! Awesome grain flavor too! Will make again and try tweaking it a little with some dry hopping. Well worth trying if you like bitter pale ales.

Cons: No specs on hop type.

Triple Hop

Review by Bob K. on 4/24/2009

Pros: This is my third batch of beer and every one has been very good.

Cons: I'm a hop head so it wasn't bitter enough for me. If you like hops brew the American Ale. That is a ten.

My kind of IPA

Review by Daniel D. on 2/10/2009

Pros: Very good hop aroma and flavor without the 80+ IBUs of the American IPA kit. Still was a tad too bitter for my likes after several weeks of conditioning, but that could be due to partial boil efficiency or aging time. Very clear, nice color, and rich creamy head - a very good kit if you are a hop-head like me.

Cons: *Personal Preferrence* - I would reduce the bittering hops a tad and add it to the flavoring or aroma addition. Probably not a problem with the kit though.

Easy way to get into a more complex brew.

Pros: My 3rd brew, very easy directions to follow and it isnt just a catchy title. This has a good hop flavor. I put it in a secondary with 2oz of oak chips for 14 days and it adds an additional character. But I imagine this brew would be excellent without the oak. Highly recommended.

Cons: 5 gallons doesnt last very long.
