Awesome!

Pros: My favorite. Am a beginning brewer and found this kit easy to use. It produced a beer that was tavern quality - maybe better! My friends loved it and are asking when the next batch will be ready!!

Love It, Love it, Love it!!!

Pros: I am about 10 bottles into my first batch of this Stout kit...after only 3 weeks aging, it is great! I will definitely get this kit again.

Cons: None.

A Winner

Pros: Entered in the Miami Area Society of Homebrewers (MASH) annual Coconut Cup competition as a Southern English Brown Ale and it took a first place in the Brown Ale category. A delicious beer, but not exactly what you may be looking for if you're interested in a Dry Irish style (lots of roast barley flavor and thick body). My batch came out complex, with minimal roastiness and notes of licorice and hazlenut. The hops add a nice finish. In sum, it's a nice, medium-bodied beer that does a good job as a Southern English Brown. Aging is a must! At least a month, better at three to four.

Cons: You only get five gallons

I've only been drinking beer for 50 years, but...

Pros: I am constantly amazed that this beer turns out perfect time after time. Irish stouts are too bitter for me. English stouts too sweet. I have drank stouts in Germany, Belgium and Austria. This is THE stout for me. William's stout could and should be produced commercially. I fail to understand why one of the thousands of micro breweries around the U.S. hasn't done that. If you want to impress yourself, and then your beer drinking friends, get this kit and follow the instructions. I age mine at least three months. Four is better. Cheers.

another excellent product

Pros: This is at least the fifth time I've brewed this kit, and as usual, the quality and care this company puts in these kits, (not to mention the ease of brewing) comes out on top. Slightly sweet, and balanced with just the right amount of hops, this kit has been a hit over and over again with my friends and VERY picky wife. I have to admit that I add another half-pound of roasted malt, (steeped before the boil), but it in no way detracts from the wonderfully blended extract. The Irish ale yeast that comes with it practically glues itself to the bottom of the fermenter and the bottles after priming.

Cons: none
