Good First Homebrew

Review by Daniel G. on 4/27/2009

Pros: This was my first attempt at homebrewing and the results were excellent. Instructions were easy to follow and the final product turned out well. Received high marks from my friends who are experienced brewers.

Cons: For the novices, it would be nice if the instructions explicitly stated to check the original gravity. This is a very minor criticism, but would be helpful in guiding first-timers through the entire brewing process.

One Great Beer

Review by Michael B. on 7/13/2008

Pros: As with all Williams kits this one is very easy to make even if it's your first batch. Being a Guiness, New Castle and Bass fan this Brown Ale is very tasty and my favorite kit. Let it sit and mellow the full time after bottling but if you can't wait, bottle a few ponies to sample.

Cons: None yet.

I hope all my home brews are this easy

Pros: This was my first home brew experience and I couldn't be happier. I thought I had messed up 2 different times (both boiling and bottling) and this beer still turned out flavorful with a great body. Every one of my friend that has tried this beer has loved it and I will definitely brew this one again.

Cons: I can't think of one. I loved this beer.

better than a newcastle, well close

Review by Patricia L. on 7/11/2008

Pros: Easy to brew and to drink. Lots of flavor not just hops, enough kick for you to be cautious. Wonderful first brew.

Cons: I drink if faster than I can brew it, as I am brewing for my family. Got the Apricot Ale going now too

Amazing first-time brew.

Review by Jairus W. on 7/14/2007

Pros: Ordered this kit with a brewing equipment kit; I had never brewed before this one. The instructions are very precise and informative, and I got amazing results on my first brew; much better than any of the commercial stuff I was paying too much for at the store. This was an AMAZING kit for a first-time brewer. I'm already hooked and can't wait to brew a few new varieties!

Cons: Everyone loves it so much they've been leaving less and less for me!
