English Brown

Review by Steve S. on 2/19/2010

Pros: Very easy to brew. If you like Newcastle, you'll love the taste of this brew. Even my friends that don't like brown ales enjoyed this brew. It is a brew that I will return to many times.

Cons: Lightly carbonated - but that is correct for the style. Still has a nice head when you pour it into a pint glass.

All Around Beer

Review by Richard Sasser on 2/10/2010

Pros: This brown ale from Williams is probably the most versatile beer kit that williams makes. You can add honey for a honey brown, cinnamon sticks, clove, and alspice for a holiday ale,add malto dextrin to thicken it,or leave it like it is for a very smooth nut brown. I have experimented with other kits but I keep coming back to Williams.

Cons: None

Nice malty roasty flavors

Review by Scott P. on 2/6/2010

Pros: After a few all-grain batches, I decided to try this extract kit. Just speaking on an individual basis, I can taste the difference between extract and all-grain. This one had a nice malty roasty flavor that I was pleased with. Its a nice Brown session beer kit.

Cons: I didn't reach my FG, but that's probably my fault for not aerating enough after a 5 gallon boil.

Awesome Brew !

Review by STEVE P. on 2/5/2010

Pros: Can't tell you how easy the William's beer kits are to brew. They also give great results. Everyone who has tried this beer says it is the best they've ever had. They keep asking when I'm going to brew it again. Sorry, it'll be awhile since I am now brewing the William's Porter, and soon the William's Belgian Triple.

Cons: You have to wait 'til it's ready.
