Seems like this beer surprises us with how good it is each year. We wouldn't want to drink it all year but the first one each season is like a renewed old friendship. We hope William's never stops producing it.

Great Holiday beer

This was my very first brew. With that, it came out very drinkable but it is spicy for me = (christmas beer) so kind of like everyone else's christmas beer. For me I will cut the spices by 30% = more beer flavor beer (just my taste). SO there is a 90% chance I will order it again when it comes out for 2020. Wished I could give 4.5 Stars, the 1/2 star loss is mostly my taste, but I also think you could let it set longer after fermentation to improve flavors. = the last glass was the best.

Easy to make and great to drink

Have been ordering this for the holidays for the last 20 years. Some minor tweaking can make this kit the best in the field. First, use some freshly cut or grated orange peel and add to your boil for the last 10 minutes. Second, substitute the provided yeast with a Wyeast Weihenstepan yeast (Y66). The banana and clove esters from the yeast combined with the spices to provide a knockout winter warmer to the nose and taste buds.

Excellent Brown Ale with honey. Great ingredients and helpful instructions. Brew has excellent taste with spicey sweetness and smooth palate.
