Excellent IPA

Review by brewhops on 1/24/2009

Pros: Brewed November, bottled late December and could only wait until mid-January to try this excellent IPA. Settled out nicely in secondary carboy. Nice aroma and thick white head.

Cons: None

WOW - this is a great IPA!

Review by Daniel D. on 10/15/2008

Pros: I don't like giving perfect scores, but this one deserves it. Great hop flavoring and a good bitter bite. This really does taste like a fresh microbrew beer!

Cons: The ONLY thing I would like to see is better hop aroma. I dry hopped my keg to solve that but the bottles had no noticable aroma. No biggie though - this is really a great beer.

A Hop Lover's Dream

Review by Adam M. on 9/19/2008

Pros: This kit produces a beer true to the style. Three hop additions during the boil make this brew a hop lover's dream.

Cons: Those unfamiliar with IPAs be warned: This stuff is Bitter. Seriously. I mean it. Don’t let the golden color fool you into thinking this is something like a commercially produced lager. This stuff is twice as strong and twice as bold.

Great Beer

Review by Lester K. on 8/15/2008

Pros: This beer is similar to a Sierra Nevada. Easy to brew and tasted great, though it blew the airlock during initial fermentation. The APA was my favorite Williams kit, until I brewed the Tripple Hoppe Ale. If you're a fan of hops, the THA is amazing.

Fool Proof

Review by robert m. on 8/10/2008

Pros: This was my first brewing attempt in 30 years (!). As awful as that long-ago batch was, this batch was terrific. I didn't bottle it. Used a 5 gallon keg instead.

Cons: Could be a hair hoppier.
