This kit was easy to make and tasted very good at bottling. Almost ready to try. Can't wait.

Exeptional Merlot

Being a chemist, I over-analyze everthing. My wife tricked me by having a glass of wine and saying "try this wine I found" What I tasted was one of the best wines I have ever had. Stone-fruit, cherry notes and perfectly balanced. I was blown away when she said it was ours. Not: I went beyond the kit a bit and bottled after 9 months in a secondary with medium-toast french oak chips. Waited 4 months after bottling.

Merlo wine

Pros: I was surprised how easy this wine is to make. Even after the twelve weeks of fermentation process the wine tast as good or better than store bought wine. However I like to let it age th recommended 9 months. Cons: don't like waiting for the aging process. I want to drink it now!

off taste

I was very exited to see such a high rating for this item so I ordered a kit. But I was disappointed with the final product. now the wine has aged a year and the taste has actually gotten sharper rather than balanced, However being the lush that I am it is still drinkable and my friends are very impressed.
