Great for hopheads!

Review by Greg N. on 12/14/2005

Pros: This beer turned out just as described with rich malt flavor along with the extra hop flavor. I've made this twice where I dry-hopped the 2nd batch which gave it an extra and distinct hop kick. I plan to make it again.

Cons: Doesn't appear to have the abundance of hop-flavor of commerically available Imperial IPAs, but still is very good for home brewing.

great malt profile

Pros: it's just as the ad's and other reviews state. great malt taste with a bit of bitterness to balance it.

Cons: for an ipa i was expecting more of a hop taste.

Imperial IPA Kit

Review by Terry B. on 10/31/2005

Pros: Verrrry nice malt profile.

Cons: The kit should be called "Imperial Bock". I added 4 ozs. of pellet hops to boil, then ran boiling priming water through 2 ozs of Wild New Mexico hops to make it live up to it's name

great combo

Review by John W. on 10/18/2005

Pros: Not only does is this ale strong on hops, it also has a rich carmel flavor that I have come to expect from your kits. It has flavor to chew on. My lite-beer drinking friends love it.

Cons: none

Great Kit

Review by JAMES B. on 10/2/2005

Pros: This turned out to be a big hit. It was high in alcohol, and was pretty easy to brew. Lots of compliments on this batch.

Cons: It took longer than I expected to carbonate in the bottles (not a big deal) and a dry hop addition would have made this a 10.
